A funeral service for Yddo Antonio Ortiz, 84, of Cleburne, will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at the Keene Seventh-Day Adventist Church located at 114 S. Fairview St., Keene, TX. Interment will follow in the Keene Memorial Park Cemetery located at 301 Pioneer Dr, Keene, TX 76059. There will be a time of visitation for family and friends from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home, 512 N. Ridgeway Drive, Cleburne, TX 76033 on Saturday, September 5, 2026.

The family requests that memorial donations be made to Old Glory for Old Betsy in care of Keene Chamber of Commerce, Community Service or the Media Ministry, both of Keene Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Yddo will be remembered with respect for a life marked by dedication, perseverance, and pride in the work he built over many years. He established and continued to oversee his own commercial janitorial business for over 50 years. Beginning in 1976, he devoted himself to his work with steady commitment, creating a lasting legacy through decades of effort and responsibility.

Among the accomplishments that meant the most to Yddo was becoming a naturalized citizen on January 21, 1966. This milestone long stood as one of the most meaningful and proudest moments in his life.

Yddo was preceded in death by his parents, Luis Carlos Ortiz and Ana Londono Ortiz; son, David Glenn Ortiz, siblings, Ofel Ortiz and Ruth Ortiz Hernandez.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Sue Ortiz; son, Tony Ortiz & his wife, Ivette; step-sons, Justin Woods & his wife, Angela Lynne and Benjamin Woods & his wife, Misti Sue; grandchildren, Meela Rose Woods, Jesse Marchman, Benji Lane Woods, Emma Lynne Woods, Elliot Andrew Woods, Eliana Faith Woods; honorary daughters, Darcy Force, Lydia Neighbors, and Catalina Zuluaga; foster children, Scott and Gina; niece, Maria Higginbotham; nephews, Carlos Ortiz, Luis Ortiz, Samuel Ortiz, Juan Ortiz, Ofel Ortiz, Gilbert Hernandez; aunt, Alicia Vera; cousins, Ruth Hubbard and Lucy Breshears, and numerous cousins in Colombia.
