Wilma Jean (Fuqua) Hendrix

A graveside service is scheduled for Wilma Jean (Fuqua) Hendrix of Cleburne, Texas will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, in the Kopperl Cemetery.

Wilma Jean (Fuqua) Hendrix, 91, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2026, of natural causes.

Wilma Jean was born on June 18, 1934, and grew up in Kopperl, Texas. She married her high school sweetheart and together they raised three children in Kopperl before later moving to Cleburne. Jean worked for Stratoflex Industries, where she dedicated many years before retiring in 1996.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ollie and Marvin Fuqua; her sister, Wanda Bradshaw; her husband, Jimmy Hendrix; and her sons, Randy Hendrix and Joe Hendrix.

She is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Adam Tyler; her granddaughters, Sydney Schiel and Katrina Schiel; her grandson, Anthony J-Dixon; along with many cherished nieces and nephews.

Jean loved country music, dancing, and spending time visiting with family and friends over a hot cup of coffee. She had a true passion for her yard and garden and could grow just about anything. Her home was always a reflection of her care and pride.

Wilma Jean was a devoted Baptist and Christian, and her faith guided her life with strength and gratitude. She was known for her silly humor, strong spirit, and incredibly independent lifestyle. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
