A celebration of life service for Willie Brown, 76, of Cleburne, will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 5, 2026, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home Chapel located at 512 N Ridgeway Dr, Cleburne, Texas 76033, with Pastor Isaac Wells officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Hwy 4 & Island Grove Rd, Cleburne, Texas 76031 with Reginald Barryhill, Daveion Brown, Lee Brown, LaCharles Brown, Dameon Brown, and Niahmiah Williams serving as pallbearers. Derrick Mitchell, Devin Mitchell, Dexter Mitchell, and Charles Scott will serve as honorary pallbearers. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home on Friday, September 4, 2026.

Born on February 1, 1950, Willie Brown passed away peacefully on August 26, 2026, in Cleburne.

Willie and Deborah began their life together as young adults and shared a remarkable journey that carried them through the many seasons of life. They enjoyed taking cruises, long road trips, and simple movie nights.

A man of strong faith, Willie served as a long time member and usher of Salter Chapel A.M.E Church. He served in the United States Air Force and later worked at Santa Fe Railroad for many years. As a skilled carpenter, he loved working outside, and always seemed to have a new renovation or building project. He loved outdoor cooking and barbecuing, especially brisket, for friends and family.

Willie Brown's memory will be cherished by all who knew him well, especially his hardworking spirit, strong work ethic, sportsmanship, and love of baseball and golf.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Brown, Sr. and Jewelean (Lee) Brown; brothers, Sylvester Carter, Nathan Carter, Alvin Carter; sisters, Mattie Barrett and Emmalean Jay.

Willie is survived by his wife, Deborah Brown; daughter, Tammy Brown; sons, Cassius Brown and his wife, Lisa; Reginald Brown and his wife, Tamara; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
