A graveside service for William Robert 'Bob" Jones, 92, of Granbury will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, in the Union Hill Cemetery, located at 2120 Conveyor Dr, Joshua, TX 76058 with Chaplain Eddy Carrell officiating. There will be a time of visitation for family and friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home, located at 512 N Ridgeway Dr, Cleburne, TX 76033.

William "Bob" Jones, born on April 26, 1934, in Cleburne, Texas, passed away peacefully in Burleson, Texas, on January 27, 2026. Bob led a life characterized by love, service, and a deep appreciation for family and friends. A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, he embodied the spirit of dedication and integrity throughout his life.

A familiar figure to many, Bob had a knack for making friends wherever he went, earning him the endearing reputation of never having met a stranger. His warm, patient demeanor made him a loving father who cherished every moment spent with his children and grandchildren. Bob loved his grandkids, often delighting in their company and celebrating their accomplishments.

Bob’s interests were as vibrant as his personality. A lover of the outdoors, he found joy in watching birds visit the feeders he maintained and had a genuine passion for animals. His favorite color was yellow, which reflected his sunny disposition and cheerful nature. Whether dressed in his signature pearl snap shirt and boots or enjoying a bowl of Blue Bell vanilla ice cream, Bob exuded a warmth that drew people to him.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Wanda Jones; his parents, Earl Jackson Jones and Artie Lorene (Beene) Jones; his brothers, Tommy and Kenneth Jones, and baby sister, Lena Ruth.

He is survived by his son, Michael D'Wayne Jones; his daughter, Vickie Jones Steer and her husband, James Kenneth Steer; his grandchildren, Carrie Dawn Ellis, Lacy Nichole Jones Massie and her husband, AJ, and Lance Michael Jones and his wife, Christina and his great-grandchildren, Coral Skye Ellis, Emma Rae Massie, Chloe Michelle Jones, Everett James Massie, Lily Sophia Jones and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Bob Jones will be remembered not only for his contributions to his country but also for his unwavering love for his family, his warmth towards friends, and his zest for life. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, patience, and an enduring spirit that will be missed by all who knew him.
