A funeral service for Wayne Lary Henley, 68, of Cleburne, will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, September 19, 2026, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home Chapel located at 512 N Ridgeway Dr, Cleburne, Texas 76033 with Rev. Charles Payne and Chaplain Eddy Carrell officiating. Interment will follow at Keene Memorial Park, 301 Pioneer Drive, Cleburne, Texas 76031with Bobby Joe Gibson, Nicholas Gibson, Jason Pineda, Jason Pineda, Jr., Justin Etchison, and Rick Dowdy serving as pallbearers. There will be a time of visitation for family and friends from 6:00- 8:00 PM at the funeral home on Friday, September 18, 2026.

Wayne Lary Henley passed away on September 8, 2026, in Chandler, Arizona. He was born on December 25, 1957, in Cleburne.

Wayne will be remembered as a devoted family man who was especially close to his nieces and nephews. He enjoyed fishing and being outdoors. Those who knew him also knew the pride he took in his work and the steady skill he brought to it throughout his life.

A respected stone mason and bricklayer, Wayne built a career marked by craftsmanship and dedication. His work became part of places that served and gathered communities, including the ballpark in Arlington, Texas, the Oklahoma City Police Department building, and Harris Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. His talent and hard work left a lasting mark in brick and stone, reflecting the care and ability for which he was known.

In all his life, he enjoyed traveling and being outdoors. In recent years, Wayne spent as much time as he could on the road with Jodi seeing many cities across the U.S. He had a love of classic cars and enjoyed listening to country music, passions that brought him joy and reflected his warm, down-to-earth spirit.

Family and friends will remember Wayne for the way he valued the people closest to him, for his love of the outdoors, and for the life he built through honest work and quiet strength. He leaves behind the memory of a man who was skilled, respected, and deeply connected to those he loved.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Barbara Richards and Scott Henley; brother, Tommy Dale Henley, and sister, Rebecca Lynn Moore.

Wayne is survived by his significant other of over 18 years, Jodi Gibson; brothers, Walter Henley & his wife, Marilyn, and Joe Alan Henley; nieces, Rosie Henley and Rachel Pineda; nephew, Jason Pineda, Sr.; great nieces and nephews, Sara, Katie, Jacob, Jackson, and Macy; stepchildren, Bobby Joe Gibson and Nicholas Wayne Gibson, and grandson, William Gibson.
