Wayne Brinkley

Graveside service for Wayne Brinkley, 85, of Fort Worth, formerly of Blum will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 2, 2022 in the Blum Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at the funeral home.

Wayne passed away October 28, 2022 in Fort Worth. He was born December 1, 1936 in Cleburne and raised by his paternal grandparents Ollie and Bertha Whitlock Brinkley. Wayne worked for Union Pacific Railroad with 44 years of service. He was the hardest working man that anyone ever knew. He always went out of his way to help people and was very humble. Wayne was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. Lynn always called him “John Wayne”.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Gracie Brinkley of Fort Worth; son, Greg Brinkley and wife, Deborah of Cisco; daughter, Leisha Brinkley Faulkner and husband, Tom of Longview; stepson. Lynn Thorne, Jr. and wife, Audrey of North Richland Hills; grandchildren, Dylan, Chisum, Kash, Whitney, Baele, Rylee, Barrett, Wendi, Max and Kirk; several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Wayne is preceded in death by mother of his children, Donna Brinkley and son, Gary Brinkley.
