Wayland Price, Sr. passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, in Burleson, Texas. He was born on March 13, 1941.  He will be remembered as a loving, hardworking man whose life was marked by dedication to his family, steady service, and a deep appreciation for the simple pleasures he enjoyed most.

Mr. Price built a long and admirable working life. He spent 34 years as a Drywall Superintendent, bringing skill, reliability, and commitment to his profession. He later devoted 23 years as the owner and operator of Diamond P Handles and Tools, a reflection of his strong work ethic and independent spirit. Those who knew him understood that he approached his work with the same determination and care that he gave to every other part of his life.

Beyond his career, Wayland was a man of many interests and lasting values. He enjoyed fishing and deer hunting, and he always found pleasure in visits to the flea market. He also took an interest in Nascar and enjoyed watching the Pro Rodeo circuit. A dedicated family man, he was known for being loving and steadfast, and for putting those he cared about at the center of his life. Of the Baptist faith, he carried that foundation with him throughout the years.

Wayland also gave generously of himself to his community. He coached little league baseball, sharing his time and encouragement with young players, and he served for 15 years as a veteran of the Rendon Volunteer Fire Department. His willingness to help others and to be present where he was needed spoke to the kind of man he was.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jake and Willie Mae Price, and daughter-in-law, Barbara Price.

Wayland is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Patsy Price; children, Wayland Price, Jr. & wife, Sally; Weldon Price, Wesley Price & wife, Stacy; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchildren; brother, Meldon Price & wife, Kay; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
