Wanda Roten

Graveside services for Wanda Lee Roten, 74, of Alvarado, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, June 29, 2013 in the Rosehill Cemetery, Cleburne. Mr. Tom Durington will officiate. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Friday.

Wanda passed away on Monday, June 24, 2013 in Alvarado. She was born November 27, 1938 in Cleburne to Joe Leonard and Jeffie Mae Manasco Roten. Wanda resided in nursing homes for over 60 years where she touched countless lives. Her caretakers and friends at the different facilities were like family to her, especially those at Alvarado Nursing Home. The family would like to extend a special thank you to each of you for the love and care of Wanda, whom you lovingly referred to as “BoBo” over the years. BoBo was voted by the residents as the Queen of Valentine’s Day 2013. She loved hats and babydolls. One of her greatest joys came from music. She will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her brother, Leonard Roten and his wife, JoAnn of Topeka, KS; nieces and nephews, Judith and Barry Hardie of Topeka, KS, Carla and Lonnie Siebert of Big Bear, CA, and Gary and Jeanie Roten of Topeka, KS; 10 great nieces and nephews; 22 great great nieces and nephews; and a host of cousins and other relatives and friends, including Billie Sue and Sandi Fields who were like sisters to her.
