Vaudrey Robyn Vaughn

A funeral service for Vaudrey Robyn Vaughn, of Rising Star, will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home Chapel, located at 512 N. Ridgeway Dr., Cleburne, TX 76033. Interment will follow in the Watts Chapel Cemetery, 6924 County Rd 308, Grandview, TX 76050, with Bill Wines, Stacie Gray, Dan Olson, Elih Carlisle, Allan Eden, and Dallas German serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Charles Ray Moore, Louis Lilly, Micah Vaugh, Avery Hurtado, Ricardo Gonzales and Orrie Dayn Vaughn. There will be a time of visitation for family and friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.

Vaudrey Robyn Vaughn passed away Friday, May 15, 2026, in Abilene, TX. Robyn was born on December 2, 1961, to Paul Vaughn and Gay Sue (McGowan) Vaughn.

Robyn loved to play bluegrass and country music and played in several bands in his younger years.

He worked as a sheet metal mechanic for over 6 years, then went to work for Bell Helicopter retiring after 17 years. Robyn came out of retirement and went to work for Lockheed Martin for 8 years and retired once again.

Robyn loved to hunt, fish, make jelly and hot sauce. His good friend Louis Lilly looked forward to 3 or 4 jars of hot sauce every month. Robyn loved his dogs and family very much.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Vicki Vaughn.

Robyn is survived by his parents, Paul and Suzie Vaughn; common law wife, Joanie Foster; brother, Farris Vaughn & his wife Greer; son, Orrie Dayn Vaughn; grandson, Micah Vaughn; close friend, Bill Wines, who came all the way from Poland to be with him, and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
