A graveside service for Thomas "Tom" Floyd Langford, III, 80, of Meridian, will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 9, 2026 in the Cleburne Memorial Park Cemetery located at 405 Waters Street, Cleburne, Texas 76031 with Mr. Rich Ernst and Mr. Doug Funk officiating. There will be a time of visitation for family and friends from 6:00-8:00 PM in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home Chapel located at 512 N. Ridgeway Dr., Cleburne, Texas 76033 on Friday, May 8, 2026.

Thomas "Tom" Floyd Langford, III, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Born on November 4, 1945, in Goldthwaite, Texas, passed away on April 23, 2026, in Meridian, Texas.

A graduate of Stephen F. Austin University in the 1970s, Tom earned his Bachelor's degree in Biology, a testament to his lifelong curiosity and deep appreciation for the natural world. He was a vibrant individual with a boisterous spirit, known as a great conversationalist who could engage and inspire those around him with ease. Above all, Tom was a friend to all, ever honorable and honest in his dealings, qualities that earned him the respect and love of many.

Tom’s passion for the outdoors was profound. He found his greatest joy in camping and spending time immersed in the beauty of nature. Yet, despite his love for adventure, it was his family that held the central place in his heart. His devotion to his loved ones was unparalleled, a guiding force throughout his life. Tom’s family remembers not only a man of great character but also an exceptional mentor and teacher who shared his wisdom and kindness generously. His influence touched many, shaping futures and nurturing talents with patience and care.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Floyd Langford, Jr. and Frances Seena Adams Langford; daughter, Stephanie Ann Langford; grandson, Hunter Langford; and brother, James Eric Langford, and previous wife, Gay Ann Giesen Langford.

Tom is survived by his wife, Cindy Langford; sons, Thomas Floyd Langford, IV, Jason Hardin, and Jeff Hardin; daughter, Jennifer Lynn Langford; grandchildren, Ethan Thomas Langford, Jake Austin Langford, Georgia Renea Langford, Emma Hardin, Will Hardin, Sarah Hardin, Dylan Hardin, and Savanah Hardin; great-grandchildren, Briar Thomas Langford, Alaric Hardin, and Olivia Hawkins; brother, Don G. Langford, and sister, Cheryl Langford Prachyl.

Thomas Floyd Langford, III’s enduring impact on his family and community stands as a testament to a life well-lived, rooted in love, compassion, and steadfast dedication. His memory will continue to inspire those blessed to have known him.
