A Celebration of Life for Scotty Allen Irons, 76, of Godley, will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 23, 2026 at the Field Street Baptist Church, located at 201 North Field Street, Cleburne, Texas 76033 with his brother, Mr. Robert Irons and brother-in-law, Mr. Allan Greer officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Bono Cemetery, located at 200 FM2331, Cleburne, Texas 76033.

Scotty Irons passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born on February 13, 1950, in Conway, Arkansas.

Scotty will be remembered as a man of deep character and steady presence. He served as Director of the Bono Fire Department, a role that reflected his desire to help others and his commitment to serving his community. He was known as a hard worker and a loyal man, someone whose strength could be felt by those around him. At the same time, he brought warmth and joy wherever he went, with a great sense of humor, a gift for storytelling, and a fun-loving spirit that made people smile.

Those who knew Scotty will remember his loving and caring heart. He wanted to help everyone, and he did so with sincerity, compassion, and strength. He was a good Christian man whose life reflected faith, kindness, and devotion to others. His big hugs, generous nature, and steady love made a lasting impression on family and friends alike.

Above all, Scotty will be remembered as a great husband, dad, and grandpa. His grandkids were the love of his life. The love he gave to his family was central to who he was, and that love will continue to be felt in the lives of those who knew him best.

Scotty was preceded in death by his son, John Irons; parents, Andrew Irons and Bernadene (Farmer) Irons, and father-in-law, John Furnell.

Survivors include his wife, Cindy Alyce (Furnell) Irons; son, Jason Irons & his wife, Carrie; daughter, Ashley Irons; daughter-in-law, Shadie Irons Killen & her husband, Koy; grandchildren, Jackson Irons, Ella Irons, and Heston Irons; brother, Robert Irons & his wife, Kathy; sister, Andrea Musick; mother-in-law, Dolores Furnell, and many nieces, nephews, close family members and friends.
