William Scott Lowry passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 in Fort Worth. He was born on June 1, 1955 in Cleburne. Scott was of the Baptist faith and a graduate of Cleburne High School. He earned his mastery license in plumbing and was the owner and operator of Lowry’s Plumbing for over 15 years. During his career, he donated his services to many in need as well as to the Johnson County Habitat of Humanity. His heart and generosity were boundless and almost as big as many escapades were. It has been said that you did not just “know” Scott, but you “experienced” Scott. He was a character with a free spirit, who loved to spend time with his friends and family, especially at cookouts with his “party favors”. Scott truly lived life to the fullest – on his terms and with no regrets. We could all learn from him in this manner. He touched countless others and stories of his adventures will long be told with laughter and smiles. Scott will be greatly missed by those fortunate to know him and love him.
Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Ellsworth “Bob” & Patricia Ann Gatton Lowry; and great-niece, Pierson.
Survivors include his brother, Brad Lowry & wife, Cindy; sister, Michelle Lowry Cox & husband, Robin; nieces and nephews, Kristian Martinez, Katie Lowry, Bradley Lowry, and Kasi Moench; great-nieces and nephews, Alex, Skylar, Braeley, Lucy, Kellan, Kash, and Kyler; as well as numerous other family members and countless friends.
