Sammy Boyd

Service for Sammy “Sam” Boyd, 82, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, May 31, 2023 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at the funeral home.

Mr. Boyd passed away Thursday, May 25, 2023 in Cleburne. He was born January 26, 1941 in Crosbyton, Texas to John Marion and Josie Mae Applegate Boyd. He married Lavinah Sue Kiblinger on September 19, 1964 in Fort Worth. He served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Boyd was retired from the United States Postal Service.

Mr. Boyd is survived by his wife, Sue Boyd; son, Jim Boyd; daughter, Linda Terry and husband, Toby; grandchildren, Riley, McKenna, Brennen Walker; sister, Pat Gant and numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

Mr. Boyd is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Johnny Granville Boyd, Margie Louise Wheatly, Ray Boyd, Doris Boyd, Vera Wingate and Jackie Boyd.
