Sam Power

Memorial service for Sam Power, 85 of Keene will be 11:00 A.M., Sunday, August 15, 2021, at the Seventh day Adventist Youth Chapel in Keene. Elder Bill Kilgore will officiate.

Sam passed away August 3, 2021 in Fort Worth. He was born December 31, 1935 in Foreman, Arkansas to Elmar S. and Wilma L. Cooper Power. Sam married Carolyn Minelle Colman on February 25, 1962 in Fort Worth. He was a machinist for Atlas Match Company with 43 years of service. Sam was a member of the Keene Seventh day Adventist Church. He served in the US Air Force for 4 years. One of Sam’s most enjoyed past times was fishing.

Sam is survived by his wife Carolyn Power of Keene; daughter, Angela Weaver and husband Russ of Burleson; grandchildren, Cole Weaver, and Taylor Weaver; nieces Judith Colman and Debbie Zapara; great nieces, Autumn Leader, Ashlen Zapara and Alyson Zapara and many other nieces and nephews; sisters, Jean Reynolds of Fort Worth, Yeda Moore of New Boston, Janice Kizirian of Fort Worth, Carolyn Haggard of Cleveland and Charlotte Stella of Mesquite.

Sam is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Elmar L. Power, Jimmy Power; sisters, Dinah Kern and Jerry Power.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Adventist World Radio in Care of Keene Seventh day Adventist Church.
