A visitation and gathering for Saidee Louise (Howard) Nichols, 81, of Cleburne will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 PM on May 11, 2026, at the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home, located at 512 N Ridgeway Dr, Cleburne, Texas, 76033 where family and friends have the opportunity to gather for fellowship, pay respects and share memories with one another.
Saidee Louise Nichols, a beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished member of her community, passed away on May 4, 2026, in Fort Worth, Texas. Born on December 7, 1944, in Colvert, Texas, Saidee led a life marked by warmth, creativity, and dedication to her family and friends.
Saidee was known for her love of crafting, a passion that brought joy not only to herself but also to all those who had the pleasure of witnessing her artistic talents. She was devoted to her children and grandchildren, taking great pride in their accomplishments and always making time to support and encourage them. Her home was a gathering place filled with laughter, stories, and the unmistakable warmth of family.
A gifted conversationalist, Saidee had the rare ability to connect with people from all walks of life. Whether a longtime friend or a new acquaintance, she could effortlessly engage and make others feel valued and understood.
Professionally, Saidee found fulfillment and purpose in her work at the Government Supply Administration (GSA), where she was highly regarded for her commitment and dedication. Her love of her job was evident, and it provided her a sense of accomplishment and pride throughout her career.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Nichols; her mother, Mildred Howard; and her sister, Terry Gilson. Saidee is survived by her sons, Don Nichols and Denton Nichols and wife Kami; her daughters, Teresa McDaniel and husband Jory, Stephanie Nichols, Jennifer Crownover and husband Josh, and Rachel Thiebaud; 15 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; her sisters Kay Howard and Beth Schneider, her brother James William Howard, and numerous other relatives and friends.
Saidee Louise Nichols will be remembered for her infectious spirit, her boundless love for her family, and the genuine friendships she cultivated throughout her lifetime. Her legacy of kindness and devotion will remain in the hearts of all who had the honor of knowing her.
