Ruth Hopkins

Graveside service for Ruth Elaine Myers Hopkins, 82, of Montgomery, will be conducted at 12:00 P.M., Saturday, November 7, 2020 in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:30 – 11:30, Saturday, November 7, 2020 at the funeral home prior to graveside service.


Ruth Elaine Myers Hart Hopkins was born November 24, 1937 in Cleburne to Roy Clyde and Bessie Ruth (Blackshear) Myers. She was raised by her aunt Julia Blackshear and her mother Bess and stepdad Ernest Burk. She was a 1956 graduate of Cleburne High School and attended Hill Junior College and the University of Texas in Austin for the nursing home administration course.

Ruth passed away on November 1, 2020 in Conroe. She was preceded in death by her parents, Aunt Julia Blackshear, brother Gene Myers, and husband Ira Hart USAF retired 1996 and Edward N. Ned Hopkins in 2016.

Ruth is survived by her son, Danny Hart and his wife Linda and their daughter Nina and husband Derek and their children Lark, Austin, Hunter and Kaci and Julie Myers her niece and Mollie Rosoosky her great nieces and her many long time friends.
