Russell Gibson

Visitation for Russell Gibson, 70, of Cleburne will be conducted 6-8:00 P.M., Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at the funeral home. Bagpiper Major Bob Richardson will play Amazing Grace at 7:00 P.M. during the visitation.

Russell passed away April 4, 2023 in Fort Worth. He was born September 6, 1952 in Austin to Alvin and Mabel Butler Gibson. Russell married Karla Carmichael on November 23, 2013 in Cleburne. He was a member of the Johnson County Historical Commission. Russell served as Board Chairman for the Cleburne Airport/Advisory Board and past President of the Chisholm Trail Longhorn Association. Russell also served as president of Air Power Council. He was a founder of Sky Ball.

Russell is survived by his wife, Karla Carmichael; daughter, Ashley Blaine Gibson; son, Russell Barrett Gibson; niece, Robyn Zumar; nephew, Christian Ferrell and grandchild, Kennedy Faith Gibson.
