Service for Royce “Speedy” Overbey, 87, Burleson, will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, November 19, 2020 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Burial will be 9:15 A.M., Friday, November 20, 2020 in DFW National Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at the funeral home.

Royce “Speedy” Overbey passed away Friday, November 13, 2020, in Fort Worth. He was born December 5, 1952 in Burleson to Albert Lee and Beulah Leta (Ware) Overbey. He married Johnnie Lee Bullard on June 24, 1958 in Sandflat. Royce was a painter for the Santa Fe Railroad with over 30 years of service.

Royce is survived by his children, Danna Dobbins of Burleson, John Overbey and wife, Cheri of Fort Worth, Mary McDonald and husband, Gary of Cleburne, Royce Overbey, Jr. of Topeka, Kansas; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Felton Overbey and wife, Jenny of Boerne.

Royce is preceded in death by his parents; wife; 3 brothers and sister.
