Ross Taylor Hause, Jr., 78, of Cleburne passed away on August 11, 2025. Born November 21, 1946, in Odessa, Texas, Ross led a life characterized by service, knowledge, and a deep passion for learning.
A proud member of the United States Air Force, Ross dedicated part of his life to serving his country, embodying the values of honor and commitment. His time in the military was a source of pride for him and instilled in him a sense of discipline that he carried throughout his life.
Ross was known for his vast knowledge of many subjects, a testament to his insatiable curiosity and his love for reading. An avid reader, he spent countless hours immersed in books, always seeking to expand his understanding of the world. This passion for learning extended to his hobby of working on cars, which he approached with the same enthusiasm and attention to detail.
Ross was preceded in death by his parents, Ross Taylor Hause, Sr. and June Mildred (Lauring) McGraw.
He is survived by his sisters, Gretchen Barker and Mary Whetstone; nieces and nephews: Erick Whetstone and his wife Tracie, Bradley Whetstone and his fiancée Doris, and Patti Whetstone and her partner Alan Purvee; and great-nephew, Ryan Purvee.
The legacy of Ross Taylor Hause, Jr. will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His warmth, wisdom, and dedication to family and friends will be profoundly missed but forever cherished in their hearts.
