Funeral services for Ronnie Davis, 78, of Godley will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 in the First Baptist Church of Godley, located at 101 E. Allen Avenue, Godley, Texas 76044 with Rev. Kenneth Coleman and Dr. Joe Cathey officiating. Interment will follow in the Mitchell Cemetery aka New Iredell Cemetery in Iredell, Texas (Bosque County) located at 396 CR 2142, Iredell, Texas 76649. Jacob Sant, Justin Sant, Kasen Wilson, Zeke Wilson, Randy Cox, Lynn Hickox, and Brian Davis will serve as pallbearers. There will be a time of fellowship and gathering for friends and family from 6:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home’s Chapel, located at 512 N. Ridgeway Drive, Cleburne, Texas 76033. In lieu of floral tributes, the family asks that givers donate to the First Baptist Church of Godley at PO Box 158, Godley, Texas 76044 or to the Caddo Grove Masonic Lodge, #352, at PO Box 744, Joshua, Tx 76058 in Ronnie’s memory.

Ronald Lee “Ronnie” Davis passed away in his home on Friday, July 31, 2026 in Godley, Texas. He was born on December 17, 1947 in Fort Worth. Ronnie married his wife, Mary Jan Warren on November 6, 1970 in Godley. He and Jan were married over 55 years at the time of his passing.

Ronnie was a “family man”, in every aspect of the phrase, and one who was proud of his family. He was a loving husband, leaving all who knew him with the example of how husbands and fathers should inspire to be. He was a devoted father to his “girls” and raised them in a home filled with Christian beliefs and lessons, that they carry with them today. His strong faith and love of family were present in all that he did, no matter the occasion or audience.

Ronnie believed in working hard and giving back to your family, church and community. His 49- year membership at the First Baptist Church of Godley, where he served as Deacon echoed this belief and his faith both. He recently was honored with his 50-year pin as a member of the Caddo Grove Masonic Lodge, #352, of which he proudly served as a Mason. Ronnie worked for 32 years with General Motors before retiring. You cannot serve any church, community or job for those numbers of years without having a strong sense of work ethics, dedication and service of others.

It has been said that Ronnie never met a stranger and had a wonderful sense of humor as well. His love of family, strong faith and giving nature will be missed greatly by all who have been blessed to cross his path.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Roy J. & Stella Margaret Barnett Davis; mother-in-law, Anita Warren; and father-in-law, M.O. Warren.

Survivors include his wife, Jan Davis; daughters, Angie Hickox & her husband, Lynn, Missy Cox & her husband, Randy, and Jami Wilson & her husband, Zeke; grandchildren, Jacob Sant & his wife, Sammie, Justin Sant & his wife, Callie, Brennan Cox, Karli Cox, Kasen Wilson, and Kaylee Wilson; great-grandchildren, Warren Sant and Ada Sant; brother, Lonnie Davis & his wife, Linda; numerous nieces, nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
