A funeral mass for Ronald D. Venne, Jr., 72, of Dallas and formerly of Cleburne, will be held at 9:00 AM on Saturday, June 7, 2025 in the St. John of Vianney Catholic Church located at 200 S. Nolan River Road, Cleburne, Texas 76033, with Fr. Scott Wooten officiating. A rosary will be held at 5:00 PM on Friday, June 6, 2025 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home Chapel with a time of fellowship and visitation for family and friends to follow from 6:00-8:00 PM. In lieu of floral tributes, the family asks that givers donate to the ASPCA at www.secure.aspca.org in honor of the love that Ronald had for animals.

Ronald D. Venne, Jr. passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 in Dallas, Texas. He was born on February 24, 1953 in Manistee, Michigan. Ronald was a member of St. John of Vianney Catholic Church, where he enjoyed singing in the choir. He was a devout Catholic man who taught CCD classes in Odessa for several years to children in the fifth grade. His faith carried him throughout his life. He was known as a prayer warrior – reciting prayers, especially the rosary daily. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Ronald was a man of great character and was loyal to his family and work both. He believed in providing for his family and even cared for his elderly father in his last years. Ronald worked as a CNC Machinist for many years and then as a Transport & Correctional Officer both, lastly for Homeland Security. He appreciated everything – big or small – and never took anything for granted. It has been said that he was always positive, no matter what he faced. He was a strong man with a big personality. He was generous – giving of his time, talents and resources. He enjoyed working with his hands and could fix anything. Ronald was a college football fan as well. His love of God, family and life all will be remembered fondly by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Delbert Venne, Sr.; mother, Patricia Marie Grabowski Venne McGillivray; and brother, Ralph Venne.

Survivors include his wife of almost 33 years, Susan Rachel Lozano Venne; step-son and daughter-in-law, Everic and Courtney Rivas; granddaughter, Ella Rose Rivas; siblings, Dave Venne, Donna Jordan, Yvonne Rosas, and Kenneth Venne; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
