Robert Eldon Robertson of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away on December 11, 2025. Born on November 24, 1939, in Clovis, New Mexico, Robert lived a life rich in love, music, and community service, which left an indelible mark on those who knew him.
In his illustrious career, Robert dedicated 30 years to the Santa Fe Railroad, where he fostered deep bonds with his coworkers, often referring to them as his "Railroad family." Following his retirement, he realized his dream of owning a ranch, where he raised cattle, a testament to his strong work ethic and passion for the countryside.
Robert was a man of many talents and interests. He loved tractor pulls and was an active member of the Johnson County Antique Tractor Club. Music played an integral role in his life; he enjoyed playing the guitar and singing, sharing his musical gifts with residents at senior centers as part of a local band. Robert was known for always having music in his heart and a smile on his face, bringing joy and comfort to friends and family alike. His faith was paramount, as he loved his Lord and family deeply. He was a devoted member of the Cleburne Bible Church.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Edward Robertson and Vivian Nadine Herrington. His absence will be felt profoundly within his family and the community he served so selflessly.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Patricia Robertson, and their three children: Robert, Darryl, and Boyce Lee; his grandchildren, Robert, Jeff, Christopher, Justin, and great-grandchildren Eldon, R. J., and Cathrin; sisters, Lanita Mullens and husband Glenise, Lanelle Kirkpatrick and husband Larry, and Linda Lenard and husband K.C.
Robert Eldon Robertson will be remembered not only for his contributions to his work and community but also for the warmth and love he brought into the lives of those fortunate enough to know him. His spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us all.
