Robert will be remembered as a deeply giving person whose actions spoke louder than words. His role as a security professional at Cornerstone Church was marked by a remarkable commitment to those around him. Robert treated everyone he met as if they were family, but it was with children he truly shined—watching over them with care and ensuring their safety. His presence in the community offered comfort and reassurance to children and adults alike.
Aside from his professional duties, Robert was known for his passionate support of Texas Elite Women’s Football, bringing enthusiasm and encouragement to a sport he admired greatly. Robert was also a proud supporter of the RMS Listener’s Foundation, advocating for and honoring fallen Police Officers and Firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. His unwavering involvement in these causes not only shaped his legacy but also enriched the lives of many.
Robert is preceded in death by his father, George Harold Powell.
Survivors include his mother, Sharon Powell; sister, Shawna Hartzell and husband, Jerry; and numerous cousins and other family members who loved him dearly.
The mark he left on his community and the lives he touched through his kindness, protection, and advocacy will not be forgotten.
Robert’s life serves as an enduring example of generosity and compassion. He will be missed dearly and remembered with deep respect by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
