A memorial service for Rita Iris MacLeod, 73, of Cleburne, will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, January 9, 2026, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel, located at 512 n. Ridgeway Dr., Cleburne, TX 76033, with Mr. Jeremy Bryant officiating.
Rita Iris MacLeod passed away on January 2, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and joy that will not be forgotten.
She was known for her fun-loving spirit and her generous heart. She embraced life with a thoughtful approach and an infectious silliness that could brighten even the dullest of days. A dedicated worker, Rita contributed her talents to HEB for over twenty years, where she became a cherished member of the team and the community.
Rita was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Sandy MacLeod, her parents, Leo Tolbert and Nancy Oleta (McCarty) Bryant, and her brother, David Elbert Bryant. The love she shared with them will forever resonate in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
Her greatest joy came from her family. Rita is survived by her loving daughter, Kristie Woods, and her husband, Grant; grandsons, Nicolas Woods and his fiancé, Kylin Peak and Brodey Woods and his partner, Haley Gilmore; her step-granddaughter, Ava Woods, and her great-grandchild, Harper Woods; her brothers, Ervin (Sonny) Bryant and his wife, Betty, Lee Bryant and Wife Annette, and a cherished circle of nieces and nephews. Rita shared a special bond with her best friend from high school, Linda Marsh, a friendship that lasted through the years, providing mutual support and laughter in their lives.
Rita Iris MacLeod's indomitable spirit and unwavering love for her family and friends will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of calling her their own. Her memory serves as a testament to the power of kindness, faith, and the joy of living life fully.
