Rita Hughes

Graveside service for Rita “Grammy” Gibbs Hughes, 76, of Whitney, will be conducted at 1:30 P.M., Friday, April 22, 2022, in Garden of Memories Paducah Cemetery in Paducah, Texas.

Rita passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2022. She was born July 11, 1945, in Borger, Texas to Robert Wesley and Jonnie Jewel Auld Gibbs. Rita worked as a bookkeeper in the Automobile Industry.

Rita is survived by her children, LaJonna Hughes of Perryton, Texas, and Qyn Hughes and spouse, Jeff Denson of Whitney, Texas; grandchildren, Shayna Hughes of Whitney, Texas, and Shelbi Denson of Abilene, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Richard Dale Gibbs, and Robert Wesley Gibbs, Jr.
