A memorial service for Randall "Randy" Yarbrough, of Cleburne will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 3, 2026 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Burtis Williams officiating.
Randy Yarbrough lived his life the way he told his jokes—with heart, with hope, and with a twinkle in his eye that made you feel like you were in on something special. He had a gift for laughter, especially the corny dad jokes that made you groan first and smile right after. Randy believed that humor was a kind of kindness, and he shared it freely with anyone lucky enough to cross his path.
He was the sort of man who could find a silver lining in even the darkest cloud. Not because life was easy for him—far from it—but because he chose to look for the good anyway. If our souls are refined by suffering, his was the purest, shaped by trials that would have broken a lesser spirit. Randy fought long and hard, long after most people would have had nothing left to give. His strength wasn’t loud or showy; it was steady, humble, and deeply rooted in faith.
Randy had a quiet wisdom about him, the kind that didn’t need to announce itself. He taught us to expect the unexpected—not as a warning, but as an invitation to embrace life’s surprises with open hands and an open heart. He lived right by his family, by his friends, and by his God, not through grand gestures but through everyday acts of love, patience, and integrity.
To his grandkids, he was Pappy. And Pappy’s playfulness, his goofiness, and the way he could turn an ordinary moment into a memory will be cherished and missed by them for a lifetime. His laughter lives on in theirs, a legacy of joy passed down in giggles, stories, and the kind of silliness only a grandparent can get away with.
Those who knew him will remember his laugh, his gentleness, his stubborn hope, and the way he made people feel seen. Randy leaves behind a legacy of kindness and resilience that will continue to shape the people he loved most.
He will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and forever cherished.
Randy is preceded in death by his parents, Haven Hill Yarbrough and Wanna Monette Yarbrough, and his son, Joshua Hill Yarbrough.
Survivors include his wife, Kelly Yarbrough; children, Jace Yarbrough & his wife, Elizabeth, Amanda Waldinger & her husband, Jeremy, Jada Yarbrough, Jaron Yarbrough & his wife, Meagan, Parker Yarbrough, and Reece Sparkman; grandchildren, Haven, Cecily, Eliot, Simeon, Caeli, Ian, Bennett, Ellis, Jane, Whit, Ryan, Jack, and Kase; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
