Radegundis "Gundi" Müller Bush

Radegundis “Gundi” Müller Bush, beloved mother, cherished Oma, and faithful friend, passed away peacefully in Marietta, Georgia on April 21, 2025, at the age of 89. A visitation and celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 9:00 AM at Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home with Pastor Zane Mitchell officiating. She will be laid to rest in peace at Rosehill Cemetery in Cleburne, Texas. Serving as pallbearers are James Bush, Andy Wildhaber, Tom Bush, John Bush, Jerry Meek, Gary Estes, Gary Long, and Jimmy Massey. Honorary pallbearers will be Winfield Basham and Bill Warenskjold.

Born May 26, 1935, in Willmatshofen, Germany during World War II, Gundi’s life was marked by resilience, kindness, and deep faith. She worked on her family’s farm, trained in sewing, and cared for families in Germany and Switzerland before immigrating to the United States. In Augsburg, Germany she met her American G.I. sweetheart, Tom Ula Bush Jr., and they married in 1966, later building a life together in Cleburne, Texas, centered on love, hard work, and service to others.

Gundi worked as a cook at Irving Elementary School and owned and operated Tom’s Bait Shop for over 30 years. A devoted member of Cleburne Christian Center, she lived her faith daily, inspiring everyone she met with her joyful spirit and generous heart.

In 1983, she proudly became a U.S. citizen, guided always by the words of Matthew 7:7: “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.”

Gundi is joyfully reunited in heaven with her parents, Georg and Victoria Strobel Müller, her beloved husband, Tom Ula Bush Jr., and by her beloved brother, Konrad Müller.

She is survived by her children, Andy Wildhaber (Jodi Applegate), James Bush (Sharron), and Claudia Bush Rogers (Collin); her grandchildren, James Thomas Bush (Lauren), Jonah Bush, and Gracie Fuller. She is also survived by her brother, Joseph Müller and her nieces and nephews, George Müller, Rosemary Wirthmüller, Konrad Müller, and Martin Müller all of Bavaria, Germany; and many dear friends who were like family.

All are welcome to gather and honor her beautiful legacy of love, faith, and joy.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that you honor Gundi’s memory by planting a Rose Bush, or something beautiful that will continue to grow and bless the world as she did.
