Quincie Ray Lewis passed away at his home in Keene, Texas, surrounded by loved ones. He was born on November 28, 1955 in Cleburne, Texas. Quincie married Melissa Dawn Boyd on May 30, 1998 in Covington, Texas and they have been together for over 34 years. He was of Christian faith. Quincie owned and operated Quincie’s Fencing in Fort Worth and as an automobile mechanic for many years.
Quincie was a man known for his unique style that shone through in his dress, dancing and overall character. He was rarely seen without his cowboy hat and never met a stranger. His fun-loving nature often had him grooving to his own beat on the dance-floor or singing karaoke. Quincie was a dirt-track racer, having put countless miles on his home-track of over 24 years, the Cowtown Speedway in Kennedale. He built and worked on his cars as well as raced them, putting all his daddy’s mechanic lessons to good use. Being a car-man he also was a lover of classic cars. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially fishing and camping – even attempted to farm at one time. Quincie was proud that he learned to cook from his momma and did most of the cooking for his own family. His strong will and independent streak will be missed greatly. Quincie leaves behind a legacy of living life on your terms, working hard and loving your family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Quincie Glenn & Mary Loraine Flippin Lewis; infant brother, Alvin “Little Alvin: Lewis; and one grandson.
