A graveside service for Perry Wilson Dunaway, 67 of Joshua, will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, in Hopewell Cemetery in Joshua with Pastor Randy West officiating.

Perry Wilson Dunaway passed away peacefully on June 22, 2026, in Joshua. He was born January 18, 1959, in Fort Worth. Perry’s life was marked by dedication, hard work, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys that came his way.

He attended Nokomis High School in Illinois, embodying adaptability and a spirit that thrived wherever he called home. After his time in Illinois, Perry returned to Texas, where he embarked on a successful career in road construction. As a grader operator—known for his skill with a blade—he contributed to the shaping of landmarks such as Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie and the Ballpark in Arlington.

Perry’s passions outside of work spoke to his spirited nature. He loved fishing, finding peace and contentment among tranquil waters. He had an eye for unique collectibles, was an enthusiastic fan of westerns on television, and took immense pride in polishing his cars—especially his beloved Mustang, he loved having it shining.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jody Dunaway; father, Albert Wilson Dunaway, and brother, Barry Dunaway.

Perry is survived by his mother, Betty Bailey of Nokomis, IL; sister, Judy Satterlee of Nokomis, IL; and brother, Jerry Dunaway & his wife Janine of Cleburne.

The family extends a heartfelt thank you to his caregiver, Victoria for her support and compassion.

Perry’s legacy endures in the lives of those he loved. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
