A Visitation & Celebration of Life Gathering for Peggy Sue Mote, 64, of Burleson, will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M., Wednesday, June 21, 2023, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel.

Peggy passed away Thursday, June 15, 2023, in Dallas. She was born July 30, 1958 in Cleburne. Peggy married Karl Wayne Mote on May 1, 1976, in Burleson. They had been together since 1972. She was of the Baptist faith. Peggy was loyal to a fault. She loved with all she had and was selfless in her giving. Peggy could fix anything and anyone! Talking to her sons was extremely important to her. She was known for her baking, especially her brownies and cakes. Peggy was an avid animal lover. In her younger years she enjoyed riding horses. Her grandchildren were her greatest joy. To honor “Nana”, those wishing to give in lieu of flowers, may send gifts of love to her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her husband, Karl Wayne Mote; children and their spouses, Kevin Wayne Mote & Jessica, Clinton Matthew Mote & Alyssa, Christopher Lee Mote, Casey Alan Mote & Ashley; grandchildren, Cody, Spencer, Corey, Brendon, Riley, Caeden, Kaydence, Anderson, Kailee, Daniel, and Asher; one great-grandchild on the way; sisters, Julie Austin & Eric, and Tina Beettner; numerous nieces, nephews, and a number of other family members and friends.

Peggy was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Mae Basye; and father, Roland Cook.
