A funeral service for Patrick Joseph Munsch, 63, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, December 18, 2025, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel, with the Reverend Charles Payne officiating. Interment will follow in Rosehill Cemetery with Donald Munsch, Henry Munsch, Payton Weaver, and Garrett Plotner serving as pallbearers. There will be a time of visitation for family and friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 17, 2025.
Patrick Joseph Munsch passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 (his youngest brother's birthday) in Cleburne. He was born on January 17, 1962, in Harlingen, Texas, to Henry, Sr., and Lucia (Merrigan) Munsch. Patrick proudly served his country in the United States Navy for four years, followed by eight years in the Naval Reserve. He built a long and dedicated career as a Facility Maintenance Technician, spending 21 years with American Airlines and later continuing his work with Johns Manville, even while managing his illness.
Patrick married the love of his life, Paula Westerman; together, they shared 26 years of marriage. He was a proud husband, a wonderful stepfather, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Patrick was known as a friendly, funny, and well-liked person, someone who brought warmth, laughter, and kindness wherever he went. For eight years, he bravely fought ESRD, facing his challenges with courage and resilience. He loved going to the casino with his wife and enjoyed watching TV, sharing simple joys with family and friends. His quiet strength and steady presence were felt by all who knew him.
Patrick is preceded in death by his stepdaughter, D'Andra Moore; parents, Henry, Sr., and Lucia Munsch; and mother-in-law, Martha Westerman.
He is survived by his wife, Paula Munsch; stepdaughters, Heather Jones and Marshall, Krissy Childress and Quentin; grandchildren, Landon Jones, Daylon Childress, Aiydon Childress, Ri'Anna Childress, Landra Moore, Laikyn Moore, Adalyn Childress, London Moore, and Kannon Childress; siblings, Cheryl and Alan Munsch, Henry Munsch, Jr. Donald Munsch, and Lisa Saunders; nephew, Payton Weaver; nieces, Emily Burris and Kylee Burris; and father-in-law, Jimmy Westerman.
Patrick will be remembered for his devotion to family, his service to his country, his courage in the face of illness, and the genuine kindness and humor he shared with so many. His presence will be deeply missed, leaving broken, shattered hearts behind, and forever cherished.
