Patricia Ann (Elder) Snowden

A gathering and visitation for Patricia Ann (Elder) Snowden, 86, of Cleburne, will be held from 1:00-3:00 P.M., Saturday, October 5, 2024 at the funeral home.

Patricia Elder, born on September 6, 1938, in Hebron, North Dakota, peacefully passed away on September 29, 2024. She was the daughter of Max Wood Elder and Marian (Anderson) Elder. The family later relocated to De Queen, Arkansas, where Patricia's beauty and charm earned her the title of Beauty Queen at Horatio High School in 1955. The family then moved to Arlington, Texas, where she graduated from Arlington High School in 1957. In 1959, Patricia began her journey as a devoted mother with the birth of her first son, Gary, and later welcomed her second son, Michael, in 1966. After some time, she found love again and remarried, establishing her home in Rendon, Texas, where she lived for over 52 years. Throughout her life, Patricia was dedicated to her career, working in various positions before finding her lasting role at Larry Dennis Company, where she devoted over 32 years of her life until her retirement in 2024. Patricia had a passion for nature and enjoyed planting flowers, cooking, and, most notably, reading. She demonstrated her nurturing spirit through her lifelong care for hundreds of cats, reflecting her compassionate nature.

She is survived by her ex-husband, H.D. Snowden of Combine, Texas; sons, Gary Snowden and his wife, Freda, Michael Gabler and Leslie Reyes; grandson, Christopher Snowden and wife, Allyson, Ryan Snowden and wife, Terrinda, Grant Gabler and fiancée, Alex Alaniz, and Dustin Gabler; great-grandchildren, Marshall Gentry and fiancée, Avery Smith, Kennedy Snowden, and Ember and Kolbie Snowden; and a long list of friends and family.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Max and Marian Elder, and her brother, Roger D. Elder.

In honor of Patricia, flowers are welcome or donations may be made to: TCAP/Texas Coalition for Animal Protection.
