A graveside service for Olin Auburey Howton, 92, of Cleburne, will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 20, 2026 in the Rosehill Cemetery located at 405 Waters St, Cleburne, Texas 76033 with Pastor John Hall officiating. There will be a time of visitation for family and friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home located at 512 N. Ridgeway Dr. Cleburne, Texas 76033.
Olin Auburey Howton, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2026, in Cleburne, Texas. Born on April 1, 1933, in Bonnerdale, Arkansas, he lived a life filled with adventure and deep connections with his family.
Olin proudly served in the Navy for three years, a time that instilled in him values of commitment and service. After his military service, he concluded his career with 15 years to the City of Dallas as a traffic light engineer, where he utilized his impressive skills and generosity. His hands were always busy, whether it was working on a project or helping a friend in need. Olin was known for his kindness, loyalty, and a spirit that embraced life with open arms.
A true adventurer at heart, he found joy spending time with family and friends through his passions for fishing, hunting, and traveling. He and Charlotte were members of the Sattelite RV Club for 20 plus years, where he served as president for a year. His love for motorcycles gave him the thrill and freedom he found on the open road. Olin was a steadfast family man, deeply devoted to his loved ones. He cherished spending time with his family.
Olin was preceded in death by his parents, Alford Howton and Lovie Ward; his daughter, Kathy Lynn Howton; and his siblings Harold Dunbar, Odis R. Howton, Leo O. Howton, Elmer A. Howton, and Louisa Casada.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Charlotte Ruth Howton; daughters, Kimberly J. Howton and husband Barry C. Tucker and Kristi Renee Howton; his grandchildren: Taylar Erin Howton, Alexis Nicole Howton, Joshua Lydell Howton, and Elizabeth Anne Pittman; his great-grandson, Alexander Xavier Howton; his sister, Bettie Sue Fuller, and his grand pups, Elliott, Rosie, Summer Anne, Teddy, and Fenway.
Olin Auburey Howton leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, and strength, remembered fondly by all who knew him.
