Norman Petry

Graveside service for Norman Lee Petry, 90, of Dallas, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, May 16, 2023 in Godley Cemetery. Pastor Dave Collett will officiate. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 P.M., Monday, May 15, 2023 at the funeral home.

Norman passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2023 in Dallas. He was born September 8, 1932 in Hico, Texas to Herschel and Grace Eudora Burden Petry. Norman worked as an electronic technician in the aviation field. He married Norma Jean Wright on June 18, 1954 in Fort Worth. Norman was a member of First Baptist Church Godley. He was devoted to his church and faith. Norman enjoyed gardening and home improvement projects. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Norma Jean Petry; daughter, Karen Raczka and husband, Paul; granddaughter, Heather Shlachtman and husband, Zack; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Norman was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Martha Schaefer and Sue Burns.
