Norma Jean (Turner) Peake, 82, of Cleburne, peacefully passed away on Monday, July 22, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. Norma was born on July 29, 1941, in Waller, Texas to Rexford Leroy and Reva (Vail) Turner.
Throughout her career, Norma dedicated herself as a bartender, using her warm and inviting personality to touch the lives of those she encountered. Her kind-hearted nature extended beyond her professional life; she was cherished as a wonderful mother to her children. Norma's love and care also earned her the titles of sister and “Momom” to her family members. She had an innate ability to connect with people and never hesitated to offer friendship to strangers. The loss of Norma has left a void in the lives of those who knew her. Her kindness and genuine spirit will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of crossing paths with such a remarkable individual.
Norma leaves behind a legacy of love and family. She is survived by her children, Shelley Bearden and husband, Danny, Kaythryn Hopson, and son, Tommy Camp; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren who will always carry her memory in their hearts. Additionally, Norma is survived by her brothers, Albert W. Turner and Rexford Leroy Turner, Jr.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rexford Leroy and Reva Turner, as well as her siblings, Catherine Joyce Curlee, Barbara Faye, Sharon Ann, Robert Donald Turner, and Ronald Ray Turner.
