Nelda Wickliffe Morris

A graveside service for Nelda Jean (Wickliffe) Morris, 89, of Cleburne, will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, in Rosehill Cemetery located at 405 Watters St., Cleburne, Texas 76033 with Chaplain Eddy Carroll officiating. There will be a time of visitation for family and friends from 6:00-8:00 PM on Monday, July 7, 2025, at the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home located at 512 N. Ridgeway Dr., Cleburne, TX 76033.

Nelda Jean Morris, born on January 20, 1936, in Ellis County, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2025, in Mansfield, Texas. She was a remarkable woman whose life was defined by her deep devotion to her loved ones and community.

A talented artist, Nelda particularly loved painting portraits, a craft that allowed her to express her creativity and passion. She had a lively spirit and an appreciation for rock and roll music, which infused her life with joy and rhythm. Beyond her artistic pursuits, Nelda was deeply committed to her community. Her volunteer work with Community Living Concepts in Keene, Texas, was a testament to her generous heart and desire to make a positive impact on those around her.

She is preceded in death by parents, Henry and Dollie Wickliffe, husband, Johnny C. Morris, and five siblings.

Nelda is survived by two sons, Stacy Morris and Stephen Morris.

Her commitment to family was unwavering, and she demonstrated that through her countless acts of kindness and encouragement. Family and friends will remember Nelda as a loving, devoted, and strong-willed individual who lived her life fully and passionately.

Nelda Jean Morris will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her, and her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of her family.
