A memorial service for Nash Blaine Douglas Dawdy, 22, of Burleson, will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at the Joshua Methodist Church located at 114 Paula Drive, Joshua, TX 76058 with Pastor Payton Carter and Chaplain Josh Burns officiating. 

Nash Blaine Douglas Dawdy, a beloved son, brother, grandson, and friend, passed away on July 29, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas. Born on September 20, 2002, in Fort Worth, Nash lived a life filled with passion, kindness, and a deep love for those around him.

He served as a dedicated correctional officer for the Johnson County Sheriff's Department, where he was known for his passionate commitment to his work. His gentle nature and kind heart earned him respect among his colleagues and the community. He was often described as a gentle giant, notable not just for his physical presence, but for his generous spirit and caring demeanor.

In addition to his professional life, Nash was an avid gamer, finding joy in virtual adventures that provided him a creative outlet. He also had a keen interest in visiting the gun range, embracing recreational activities that reflected his adventurous spirit. Growing up, Nash enjoyed playing sports, which fostered his love for teamwork and camaraderie. Interestingly, alongside his various interests, he harbored a dream of becoming a cowboy one day, showcasing his multifaceted personality.

Nash is survived by his parents, Terry and Anthony Dawdy; sisters, Amanda and Edgar Koen, Stella Briley and Jerry Allen, and Marisa Garcia and Michael Gonzalez; grandparents, Tony and Barbara Dawdy; nieces and nephew, Dominic, James, Emma, Scarlett, and Faelyn; girlfriend, Jordan Gainey, and his beloved dog Daisy. 

As we remember Nash Blaine Douglas Dawdy, we reflect on a life characterized by kindness, passion, and a genuine love for family and friends. He will be profoundly missed by all whose lives he touched.
