Maxine Carmichael

Maxine Carmichael, 99, of Cleburne, passed away December 1, 2022 in Cleburne. She was born February 17, 1923 in Cleburne to Louis Preston and Mary Roberta Green Fowler. She married Alvis Carmichael, Jr. who preceded her in death. Maxine was a bookkeeper for Lone Star Gas before retiring. She was a member of First Baptist Church Cleburne and Clovis, New Mexico.

Maxine was a lady who took others along throughout her adventures. She was fun-loving and bigger than life. She enjoyed jewelry making, needle-work, and her countless afternoons spent with her Clovis Bridge group of over 30 ladies. She will be missed greatly.

Maxine is survived by her nieces, Vicki Shumake and Holly McRuiz; nephew, David McCullers and numerous other family and friends.

Maxine is preceded in death also by her parents; and sisters, Reba Brumfield and LaVerne McGill.
Private family service will be held at a later date.
