Mary lived a life rooted in service, guided by faith, and enriched by the beauty of nature and family. She was a woman of remarkable accomplishment and unwavering devotion. She dedicated her life working as a registered dietician consultant. Her work was not just a profession but a calling—she was renowned for her expertise in both acute care and long-term care nursing; honored for 50 years of service with the ADA. Her deep connection to the natural world was evident in all she did. Mary cherished butterflies, dragonflies, turtles, and reveled in the daily wonders of sunrises and sunsets. Her favorite color was blue, reminiscent of the wide Texas sky she so loved. Gardening brought her immense joy, allowing her to nurture life and beauty on the family farm that was so close to her heart. Traveling opened her world further, yet she always carried with her, a grounded appreciation for home, family, and the land.
Faith was an integral part of Mary Jo's journey. She was baptized in the Church of Christ and was an active member of the Methodist Church in Blum, embracing a community that mirrored her values of kindness, generosity, and spiritual commitment.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Carrol Edward Nash; parents, Joe Crowell Glover and Mary Jacqueline Coody; and brother, Charles Pat Glover.
She is survived by her children, Karen and Jeff O’Dell of Livington, Michael D'Wayne Pruitt of Blum, and Patti Jo McMahon of Blum; grandchildren, Ashley Nicole Ratliff, Debby Merryman, Clay O'Dell, Kaysi Jo Garrett, Wade Garrett McMahon, and Preston Pruitt; great-grandchildren, Talli Jo Garrett, Charlee Nicole Bourque, D.J.
