Mary Dean

Service for Mary Darlene Dean, 68, of Joshua, will be conducted at 2:30 P.M., Friday, February 24, 2023, at Annetta Methodist Church in Aledo, Texas. Pastor Charles Payne will officiate. Burial will follow in Annetta Cemetery.

Darlene was born June 6, 1954, to Billy Rivers and Nellie Alice (Hogan) Edwards in Fort Worth. She passed away February 20, 2023 in Keene. Darlene married Larry Wendell Dean on January 20, 1979 in Aledo. She was High School Valedictorian and graduated 1st in her class at UNT earning her bachelor’s degree. Darlene worked in the insurance industry and loved flowers. She was an accomplished pianist and singer.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Larry Dean; sisters, Linda Edwards Maloney and husband, Thomas, and Dr. Kathleen Ann Edwards; sister-in-law, Linda Ruth Sedden; and nephew, Marc Daniel Clapp.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, and daughter, Tiffany Daniell Dean.
