A Celebration of Life for Marti Eloise Bailey, 69, of Cleburne, will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at the First Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, located at 1005 Chase Avenue, Cleburne, TX 76031, with Pastor Willie Stevenson officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery, 960 E 2nd Street, Cleburne. There will be a time of visitation for family and friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the funeral home on Friday, December 5, 2025.
Marti Eloise Bailey, a beloved member of the Cleburne community, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2025, at the age of 69. Born on September 19, 1956, in Cleburne, Texas, she was a light to all who knew her. Marti was the daughter of Robert L. Wilson and Sarah Marie Kelley, and grew up surrounded by family and friends who cherished her vibrant spirit.
Marti had a remarkable ability to forgive unconditionally, embodying a selfless nature that was evident throughout her life. Known for her big heart, she was deeply caring and always put her family first. Her extraordinary sense of humor brought joy and laughter to those around her. Marti was not only family-oriented but also career-driven, dedicating herself to her work for many years at TXU/Oncor.
Marti's passions included watching her favorite shows and embracing the magic of the Harry Potter movies. These interests reflected her spirited personality and her ability to find delight in both the everyday and the extraordinary.
Marti is preceded in death by her sister Claudia D. Pollard and her brothers Cary Hill and Roger Hill.
She is survived by her children: Kisha Bailey of Irving; Christopher Bailey of Northlake; Bryson Bailey and his wife, Johanna of Georgetown; and Kyndell Bailey of Dallas; her nieces and nephews: Tyreke Ellis, Willie B. Pollard Jr., Marie Pollard, Roger Hill Jr., Devetra White, and Derrick Simmons; and her siblings: Carla Pollard of Cleburne; Johnnie Ellis Jr. and his wife, Jackie of Fort Worth, and her in-laws: Wayne Pollard of Valdosta, GA; Linda Hill of North Little Rock, AR; and Beverly Hill of Fort Worth. She will be missed not only by her family but also by her grand-dog, Kobe, who was a constant companion, and other relatives and friends who loved her and will miss her.
Marti Eloise Bailey's warmth, kindness, and humor will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched throughout her life. She leaves behind a legacy of love, forgiveness, and the importance of family that will cherish her memory for years to come.
