Margeory Hearrell

Margeory Ellen Hearrell, devoted wife, adored Mama, Granny and treasured friend peacefully passed from this life to eternity on January 19, 2022. Margeory was born in Hill County, Texas in 1934. In 1954 she married Walter “Sonny” Deike in Fort Worth and began a beautiful life raising their children, Becky, Debbie and John. Her husband, Sonny was taken early by a tragic automobile accident. A few years later she met and married a warm and loving man, Raymond Hearrell, that stood by her side and raised her three children as his own. Many years later, Margeory and Raymond were blessed with second son, Raymond.

Together she and Raymond owned and managed Arlington Heights Appliance in Fort Worth. A few years later they decided to move the family to the Joshua area, raising the children in the country where they tended livestock, gardened, and managed a fruit orchard. In 1984 they moved to Hillsboro to learn the ranch business and lead the operation of Lamb’s Stone Ground Cornmeal. In 1997, they became the owner/operator of the grist mill.

Always full of love and laughter, Margeory’s favorite moments were spent with her loved ones - both family and dear friends. We will all remember her wonderful tender heart, her sense of humor, and of course, that mischievous smile.

Margeory is survived by all her children: Rebecca Thimm, Debbie Marsh and her partner Mark, John Deike, Raymond Hearrell and his partner Lynette. Her grandchildren: Carrie Hunnicutt and her husband Raymond, Valerie Hall and husband Jason, Laura Bean and her husband Ben, Kyle and Ellen Marsh, Christy, Carolyn and Robert Howell, Elise Hearrell, Errin Rudd and husband Jason; as well as many cherished great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Margeory will also be missed by numerous sister and brother-in-laws as well as many trusted friends, including Bonnie Taggart and Bobby Sampson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie Cox and Gladys Cox, her brother Jimmie Cox, as well as Sonny Deike and Raymond Hearrell.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 26th at Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home from noon until 7:00 P.M. A graveside service for Margeory will be officiated by Doug Martin at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, January 27th at the Rosehill Cemetery, Cleburne, Texas.
