Memorial services for Leslie R. Les Manly, 72, of Fort Worth, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Monday, July 8, 2013 in the Crosier Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Reverend Eddie Freeman will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Frank Manly c/o Crosier Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home, 512 N. Ridgeway Drive, Cleburne, Texas 76033.

Les passed away Sunday, June 23, 2013 in Fort Worth. He was born to Bedford Ray and Ruby Lena Frazier Manly on December 12, 1940 in Crosbyton, Texas. He served his beloved country in the United States Marine Corps. He lived the notion of God, Family and Country even up to his last moments of life. He was an inspiration in strength and love to his family and friends. It has been said that he could impact you with his words in a special way that stayed with you throughout time. He was the strongest and most dedicated man anyone could ever meet. To say he was a provider, was an understatement. Les was an avid reader and music lover. His love of life and strong character will continue to be an inspiration to those that knew and loved him. He will be missed greatly. Les was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Johnny Manly.

Survivors include his siblings, Charles Manly, Merl Gordon, Iris Proctor and Frankie Manly, who was more like his son; numerous generations of nieces and nephews including Andy Manly and Ruby Manly, who were more like his grandchildren and his great niece and nephew, Sylvia Ray Manly and Elliott Manly, who were more like his great grandchildren; as well as a host of other relatives and friends
