A memorial gathering for Latiscia Mae Feagins Nance, 73, of Cleburne will be held from 4:00-6:00 PM on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home, located at 512 N. Ridgeway Drive, Cleburne, Texas 76033.

Latiscia Mae Feagins Nance, born on May 28, 1953 passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on September 22, 2026.

Latiscia was born in Ponca City, Oklahoma. The only daughter to R.W. Feagins and Genevieve Feagins. She graduated from Richfield High School in Waco, Texas and later from Baylor University in 1972. She married Dr. Henry Nance in 1976, and they had one child together, Alyssa.

Latiscia graduated from Baylor with a degree in education that she used in Waco teaching 2nd and 3rd graders in mixed level classes. After a few years in the classroom, Latiscia left teaching and took on being a full-time mother to Alyssa and working in her husband’s office as the office manager.

In addition to her teaching and office managing, Latiscia was active in her community. She served in several local non-profits including King’s Daughters, The Heritage Assembly and Daughters of the American Revolution. She was also active in her church community at First Baptist Church, often serving others in their time of grief by helping with funeral lunches.

What Latiscia will be most remembered for is what is hardest to capture in words. Her smile lit up the room; her laughter infectious. Her heart was full of unconditional love for anyone with whom she happened to cross paths. She was giving, and selfless; beautiful inside and out. She loved Jesus with fierceness and lived that out loud. She loved all animals, and ballroom dancing, sunsets and flowers. But most of all, her family and spending as much time with them as she could.

Latiscia is preceded in death by her parents, R.W. Feagins and Genevieve Miles Feagins. She is survived by her daughter, Alyssa and husband Chad, and her two beloved grandchildren, Miles and Caelyn Van Winkle.
