A funeral service for Larry Randall McClure, Jr., 55, of Cleburne, will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 20, 2026 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home Chapel located at 512 N Ridgeway Dr, Cleburne, TX 76033 with Pastor Steve Waits officiating. Interment will follow in the Grange Hall Cemetery in Rio Vista with Charlie Bandy, Scott Derting, Austin Smith, Ronnie Anderson, Kevin Moore and Jason Picard serving as pallbearers and Roger Camp and Aaron Davenport as honorary pallbearers. There will be a time of visitation for family and friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the funeral home on Friday, June 19, 2026.
Larry McClure, Jr., born on June 4, 1971, in Cleburne, Texas, passed away on June 14, 2026, in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was a cherished member of his community and a man whose presence could brighten any room.
Known for his easygoing nature and friendly demeanor, Larry never met a stranger. His love of life was evident in his many passions, including watching sports—especially rooting for the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers—hunting, fishing, and spending time by the beach. Larry had a unique charm and was affectionately known as "The Life of the Party." He often reminded those around him with his trademark saying: "You get what you get and you don't throw a fit," reflecting his straightforward and joyful approach to life.
Larry was preceded in death by his beloved son, Garrett McClure.
He is survived by his father and mother, Larry Randall, Sr. and Patsy McClure; brother, Chad McClure; sister, Michelle Smith; nieces, Dana McClure and Morgan Smith; nephew, Austin Smith, many aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends.
Larry McClure, Jr.'s life was a testament to joy, kindness, and an unending zest for living. His memory will remain a blessing to all who knew him, and his spirit will continue to inspire those fortunate enough to have called him family and friend.
