Kathy Hartig

A private family gathering will be held at a later date for Kathy Hartig, 72, of Cleburne.

Kathy passed away Sunday, December 10, 2023, in North Richland Hills. She was born July 19, 1951, in Fort Worth to James Carol and Alpha (Chandler) Long. Kathy was of the Baptist faith. She married David Ralph Hartig on December 9, 1983, in Little Rock, Arkansas. Kathy was a nature lover and “rockhound” who enjoyed being outdoors, spending countless hours searching for rocks, and a Native American artifact collector. Kathy was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

She is survived by her children, Angela Hubbard and husband, Johnny, Amanda Romo, John Hartig and wife, Nicole, stepson, Chad Hartig and wife, Marilyn; grandchildren, Courtney Freeman, Jarrett Hubbard, Jalie Romo, Haley Hartig, and Tyler Hartig; great-grandchild, Raegan Freeman; sister, Ruth Ann Long; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, husband (2016); siblings, Jimmy Long, Linda Cook, Galen Long, and Phyllis Jarvis.
