A funeral service for Kailey Ann (Schroeder) Black, 24, of Cleburne, will be held at 10: 00 AM on Saturday, July 11, 2026 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home Chapel, located at 512 N. Ridgeway Drive, Cleburne, TX 76033, with Mr. Tom Frazier and Mr. Graig Fancher officiating. Interment will follow in the Godley Cemetery with Braden Schroeder, Thad Black, Keith White, Matt Moring, Scott Langham and Jackson Moring serving as pallbearers and Cade Berkey as honorary pallbearer. There will be a time of visitation for family and friends from 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home on Friday, July 10, 2026.
Kailey Ann Schroeder was born October 27, 2001 in Ft. Worth, Texas. Kailey lived in Iasi, Romania; Godley, TX; Henderson, TN; Keene, TX and Cleburne, TX. She passed from this life in Huntsville, AL on July 3, 2026.
Kailey was a 2019 graduate of Godley High School. She graduated in 2022 from Freed-Hardeman University with a B.S. in Psychology and 2024 with a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
Kailey was married to Trenton Jackson Black on May 28, 2022.
Kailey was a practicing mental health counselor (LPC Associate) in Burleson, TX and also had served as a paraprofessional in Godley I.S.D. and taught classes with TEACH in Cleburne, TX.
She enjoyed walking, jogging and especially playing pickleball. She also loved spending time with her family. She loved working with children and her dream for years had been to be a foster mom which she was blessed to be for four months.
Kailey was a dedicated member of the Godley church of Christ, made one mission trip to Romania and was scheduled to be back in Romania at the time of this service. She lived her life to help others. Even in passing from this life she helped save four other lives by donating her organs.
Kailey will be deeply missed by all her friends and family.
Kailey was proceeded in death by her brother, Andrew Schroeder, her cousin Riley Moring and her grandmother Beverly Schroeder.
Kailey is survived by her husband Trenton Jackson Black of Cleburne; TX, Bella; her parents, Daren and Julie Schroeder of Godley, TX; brother, Braden Schroeder and wife Karragin of Godley, TX; sister, Aubrey Schroeder of Godley, TX; grandparents, Glynn Schroeder and wife, Anita, of Arnold, MO, David and Patricia White of Godley, TX; aunts and uncles, Scott and Amy Langham of Godley TX, Keith and Trisha White of Piedmont, OK, Matt and Emily Moring of Cleburne, TX, and Coyzette Schroeder of Afton, MO; great uncle and aunt, Charles and Nancy Midyett of Salem, MO; cousins, Kristina Schroeder of Afton, MO, Madeline Severson, husband Rylan, son, Ryker of Lynden, Washington, McKenna George of Godley, TX, Emma Berkey and husband Cade, of Choctaw, OK, Karli White of Piedmont, OK, Jackson Moring of Cleburne, TX. Her family also includes her in-laws: Lane and Kristi Black, sister-in-law, Hailey Benton and husband Marcus Benton, niece and nephew Laney and Clay Crossman and brother-in-law, Thaddaeus Black and wife Mackenzie, and nephew Henry, all of Guntersville, AL as well as Trenton’s grandparents, Timothy and Margene Black and Ann Jackson.
