JW Wilson

A graveside service for John William "JW" Wilson, 95, of Cleburne, will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, November 1, 2025, in the Rosehill Cemetery located at 960 E. Second St., Cleburne, TX with Pastor Weldon Coble officiating. Jeff Wilson, Jimmy Wilson, Judge Wilson, Kash Wilson, Peyton Wilson, and Marc Lopez will serve as pallbearers. There will be a time of visitation for family and friends from 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home on Friday, October 31, 2025.

JW Wilson was born on September 4, 1930, in Rusk, Texas, and passed away peacefully on October 27, 2025, in Cleburne, Texas. His life was a testament to strength, tenacity, endurance and a joyful spirit that captivated everyone he encountered.

Known for his outgoing nature, JW was a man who loved to dance and share laughter over games of dominoes. He had a remarkable ability to forge friendships, leaving a lasting impression on all who were fortunate enough to cross his path. JW was not only strong-willed but also dedicated to his work, demonstrating a remarkable work ethic throughout his life. He will be remembered fondly for his vibrant spirit and the love he shared with those around him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Rose Lee Wilson, his brothers ML Wilson, Billy Clyde Wilson, and RC Wilson, and his sisters Helen Vinson, Mary Layne, Rose Nell Carlye, and Mable Allison.

JW is survived by his son Jeff Wilson and wife Chelsea; his son Jimmy Wilson; and his daughter Jaquina Taylor and husband Anthony; grandchildren, Stephanie and her husband Brad, Judge, Kash, Kleo, Monica, Destiny, Peyton, Geneva, and Natalea and husband Josh; his great-grandchildren, Ryker, Lincoln, and Mia.

His journey on this earth may have come to an end, but JW Wilson's enduring spirit will forever remain in the hearts of his beloved family and friends.
