A funeral service for Juan Diego Ovedito Maldonado, 37, of Godley, will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, July 13, 2026 at St. Joseph Catholic Church located at 807 North Anglin Street, Cleburne, TX 76033. Interment will follow in Godley Cemetery, 9641 County Rd 1229, Godley, TX. There will be a rosary beginning at 4:00 PM followed by a time of visitation for family and friends from 5:00-6:00 PM on Sunday, July 12, 2026, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home Chapel located at 512 N Ridgeway Dr, Cleburne, TX 76033.
Juan Diego Maldonado passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2026. He was born on July 2, 1989 in Fort Worth. A pillar of dedication and warmth, Juan Diego was celebrated for his loving nature and big heart. He was a devoted son, a wonderful brother, and a caring uncle who touched countless lives with his thoughtful and giving spirit. Those who knew him remember him as a passionate TCU fan and a relentless advocate for those in need, always ready to stand up for his loved ones or offer a helping hand to others.
Juan Diego’s professional journey was marked by more than a decade of service with Dr. Mahaffey in healthcare, where he applied his work ethic and compassion day in and day out. Through this important work, he not only contributed to the well-being of his community but also formed lasting connections with colleagues and patients alike. Juan Diego embodied the values of hard work and selflessness, earning the respect and admiration of all who came into contact with him.
Education was a source of pride and achievement for Juan Diego. At the time of his passing, he was only six months away from receiving his master’s degree, a testament to his perseverance and enduring desire to enrich his knowledge and better serve others.
Juan Diego Ovedito Maldonado’s legacy is one of generosity, love, and unwavering support for those he cherished. His memory will continue to inspire those who knew him to live with the same kindness, determination, and exuberant spirit. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Daniel Maldonado, Sr., Guadalupe Maldonado Jesus Paéz and Irma Rosa Paéz.
Juan is survived by his parents, Daniel and Myra Maldonado; brothers, Pedro Maldonado and Francisco Maldonado & his wife, Christa; nieces and nephews, Louis-Joseph de Joaquin Maldonado, Maria-Theresa Alexandra Maldonado, Charles-Philippe Daniel Maldonado, Blanche-Sophie Clothide Maldonado; cousin, Erika Gomez & her husband, Alberto and her children, Lysander Garcia, Cedric Moreno, Deviny Moreno, Landrie-Albert Gomez, Jr., and Stella Adriana Garcia; best friend, Ofelia Hernandez, and numerous other family and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Lazaro Najera for being like a big brother and a role model to Juan.
