Joyce Evans passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 17, 2026, in Cleburne. She was born on July 8, 1942, in Odin Illinois. 

Joyce lived a vibrant and memorable life marked by creativity, energy, and a deep love for the people and passions that brought her joy. She was very artistic and creative, and she especially enjoyed writing and art. Her outgoing nature and lively spirit made her the life of the party, and she brought warmth and personality wherever she went.

She also built her own advertising business, reflecting both her talent and her determination. She loved Elvis, cherished her family, and found happiness in simple pleasures, including shopping at garage sales in search of hidden treasures. She was also known for valuing her beauty sleep, a detail that will bring a smile to those who knew and loved her best.

Joyce will be remembered for her creativity, her independent spirit, and the joy she brought to others through her vibrant personality. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Millard D. and Vivian Ilene (Stevens) Evans. 

Survivors include her sisters, Mary Fredrick and Joan Ray; nieces and nephews, Theresa Henderson & her husband, Bill, Billy Ray & his wife, Sue, Sherry Reese & her husband, Bob, Jimmy Ray & his wife, Amy, and Justin Ray & his wife, Christi, and great nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
